English Idioms Illustrated App Reviews

The developer has done a beautiful job on this application; however, in order to get the full alphabet of idioms, you must pay for packs. I am fine with this, by the price of the packs is way too high: 2.99 for 70 (x2) and 4.99 for 140 (a deal, apparently). I think the developer will get his/her money worth if these packs are made cheaper. Very few people will pay, otherwise. I will be purchasing all the packs when the price becomes more reasonable. That said, I love the illustrations and everything else about this. Reminds me of Icon Books Introduction Series. Thanks:)

This idioms app deserve five stars because it show a selection of useful idioms , retrace their origins and give their meaning. To make all those things enjoyable the authors presented the idioms with beautifully drawing. Add this book to your library and enjoy it.

Great app. Just one BIG problem ... I purchased package 1&2 for 3.99 and it wont upload!!!! I tried over and over. Whats up with that? It is it a scam?

Great app, amazing pictures, English learners should get it, its a fun way to learn. Even native speakers like myself would find it entertaining to learn the origins of the idioms.

5 F* hard core stars

Graphics dont compensate the lack of a search function or the ability to enter ones sought for idiom, to determine its meaning. Good as reference but not as "I need it now" kind of tool. Sorry.

I like this app, but I would request few other features that would make it a five starts app. I would suggest adding a word-based, auto-fill search engine. And the second feature would be a star which automatically adds an idiom to a favorite list which can be navigated someway. The iPhone app needs an update to work as it should be since it doesnt support iPhone5 Despite these features, I appreciate the great effort behind this application.

Do not purchase any content from this app. It takes your money and nothing past "b" is added.

I like this. However sometimes it doesnt move normally, when the finger touch. Maybe there are more bugs in.

Very effective. The stories behind each idioms are well summarized in four pages or so, and with beautiful drawings they are super easy to recall. Considering purchasing the two packs.

I enjoyed so much. But sometimes indicators cover both of the header story and the footer. Tap to full screen to solve it.

Its good to enlarge my vocabulary.
