If you like idioms and great comic style sketches then youll love this app. Its so entertaining and a great way to learn some history of some of our phrases. I give it a thumbs up for sure.

Great app but I bought more idioms on my iPad and the upgrade would not download on my iPhone no matter how many times I restarted my phone. I even deleted the app and reinstalled it. But no go. Restore purchases function does not work.

Cartoon makes the story interesting! Good for new learner.

smaller pics than previous version. Please tell me how to go back to previous version. This app is universal but I dont want that. I use iphone and I dont care about any other device but I think experience is changed because of this factor too. Text is not written on the picture which is sooooo inconvenient. Its NOT like a comic now and text doesnt even show up completely so I have to scroll to read the text and then scroll for some pictures separately, this all could be done in one swipe earlier and that was the beauty.

Really, I would indeed recommend this to everyone- students or otherwise! Its the bees knees!

I have an iPad mini and the photos are just the right size I feel. Great for teaching. Many common idioms missing though.

THese are exactly the kind of fun factoids you want be able to sprinkle in to your conversations at parties etc to hint at the vast intellect that lies behind them :). Also, a lot of fun to read and be surprised. I look forward to the next version! P

This app is very useful for people who are interested in languages and learning new terms. The meanings of idioms are illustrated in a fun and joyful way, and the meanings are very clear also. By combining both definitions, examples and pictures for illustrations, the app makes remembering terms even easier. The UI is simple yet gracious, but the menu pane is not the same style with the main UI of the app, making it looks awkward. Overall, the app works great, I just hope the UI will be improved.

Love almost everything about this app! The illustrations, the layout, the brief history of each idiom! It would be "the bees knees" if you could please add one little function: the ability to favorite idioms!!! Pretty please!
